I have a calm and friendly senior Chihuahua boy (he is not like other Chihuahuas!) and a senior Persian cat who is always sleeping. I have had many pets before
I live in a large einbylishus, no children, plenty of space for your pet to run around at home, and I work from home! Plus my sister in law is a vet working in Iceland!
It is lonely being in Iceland as a foreigner and having animal friends make it better.
